Planning will begin soon for the 2010 Outstanding Teen Pageant.

To become Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen you must go through a process
requiring personal commitment, perseverance, talent and ambition. 
 
To compete you must -

- Be a young lady between the ages of 13 and 17.
- Be a United States citizen.
- Meet residency requirements for competing in Minnesota.
- Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America's 
   Outstanding Teen Organization
- Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
- Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the state board.
- Must not be eligible to compete in the Miss America Competition.

What Will I Compete In?

 
Competition
Private Interview - 35%  --
The Private Interview will take place during the day of the pageant. You will have 9 minutes with the 6-judge panel where they will ask you a range of questions based on things like: current events, your educational history and accomplishments, your activities, teen issues, etc.

On-Stage Question - 5% --
The On-Stage Question will be asked while you are competing in the evening wear phase of competition.

Talent - 35% --
You are required to perform a 2-minute talent of your choice. This can include: dancing, singing, baton, karate, tumbling, monologue, instrumental piece, etc.

Evening Wear - 15% --
You will be judged in evening wear in a dress or gown of your choice. It can be any length and we will look at your composure on stage, confidence and grace in your dress.

Fitness - 10% --
Lifestyle and Fitness will consist of a short walking pattern
