2008- Alyssa Mayfield
2007 ~ Chantal Wilson

This summer I enjoyed taking college classes through the University
of Minnesota Twin Cities. I toured many colleges but found that the best is
right here in the great state of MN. I am applying to the University
of Minnesota Carlson School of Management to pursue a major in
International Business and than its on to law school.
I took several trips this summer, Washington D.C. being one of them. I have been there before but is such a great city. I am preparing for my piano
competitions and have 12 piano students that I teach. I am
preparing them for there first theory exam at Concordia College in
Moorhead, MN. I have completed the Checcitti ballet exams and now can
enjoy teaching if I would like; I still have a great passion for
dance.
I am also preparing for my senior rectial, won the Minnesota's
Women in Science and Engineering award and I received a 35 in the
science part of the ACT. I am working on two other community service projects with young people and am still going into schools and speaking
about the importance of literacy.
The school is just beginning and so I would imagine that my year will get busier!
2006 ~ Natalie Davis

Natalie Davis held the title of Miss Minnesota’s Outstanding Teen 2006. Since giving up her title in June 2007, she has been keeping very busy!
During her senior year of high school, Natalie was the Captain of the Speech Team, and she once again made it to State in the Drama category. Natalie also had the unique experience of playing a man (yes, a MAN) in her schools State-winning One Act Play “The Romancers” this past spring. She loved learning stage combat and “exploring her masculine side.” Let’s keep in mind that Natalie’s favorite color is PINK. Needless to say, the experience was challenging and very fun! In addition, Natalie received an Honorable Mention for an Outstanding Performance in a Lead Role for her performance as Cinderella in her high school’s production of “Into the Woods.” She received this award at the Orpheum Theater this past June after performing in several group ensembles with other award-recipients. She spent the year as an officer for the National Honor Society, a member of her school’s first auditioned Chamber choir and a mentor in the Future Lies in You (FLY) program. Natalie graduated as her class’ Salutatorian with high honors.
This past summer, Natalie played the lead role of Grace Farrell in Litchfield Community Theater’s production of “Annie.” Less than a week after the show’s last performance, Natalie went off to compete for Miss South Central, winning the talent competition, evening gown competition and the title! Needless to say, she squealed with joy all the way home. She was home less than ten hours before driving up to Cross Lake, MN to work as a counselor at Camp Hand in Hand, a summer camp for autistic children. She reflects, “It was the most challenging, frustrating, REWARDING experience of my life, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.” Natalie’s younger brother Trevor has an Autism Spectrum Disorder called Asperger’s Syndrome; thusly, it is her goal to spread awareness about this disorder to promote a positive acceptance and understanding of her brother and other’s like him.
Natalie now attends St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She is contemplating a major in either Chemistry or Biology—whatever she enjoys most on her Pre-Med track to become a pediatrician. She takes voice lessons and is an officer and student manager for the Manitou Singers, the first year girls’ choir. She will be performing in the all-famous St. Olaf Christmas Festival so check it out on TV during the first week of December! Natalie will continue her year representing the Miss South Central Organization and preparing to compete for Miss Minnesota in June. Wish her luck!
